Opportunities to volunteer are abundant and varied allowing you to be as involved as you want. Take a look at the committees and see which best fit your interests and skills. Most opportunities require a time commitment of two to four hours, but if your time is limited consider these other ways to help:
If you have a question regarding a particular activity/committee, please feel free to let us know at board@bethelpto.org or contact the Committee Chair. We APPRECIATE any and all help. Please know you will never be asked to do an activity without lots of support from the other members.
If you are able to help with one of the PTO activities, or in the classroom, we ask you please follow a few simple guidelines:
- Be reliable and prompt. If you find that you are unable to make your scheduled volunteer time, please let the chairperson of the activity know as soon as possible (or the teacher if you are helping in the classroom).
When you arrive at school, stop in the office to sign in and obtain an identification badge. Please wear this badge while you are in the school. Once you have signed in, please proceed to your work area. When you are finished, please return to the office to sign out.
Set an example of good health habits. If you are ill or suffering symptoms of the common cold, sore throat, cough, stomach ailments or any infectious disease, please remain at home and out of the classroom to protect the environment for the students, teachers and others.
Respect the confidentiality of classroom work any personal information that you see or hear.
Be discreet if you find it necessary to consult with the teacher about a particular student or situation.
Be aware of and comply with Bethel School and classroom policies.
Have fun!
